Brooks Whitehouse, cello

Brooks Whitehouse, cello, was a founding member of the Guild Trio, an ensemble that won both the USIA Artistic Ambassador and Chamber Music Yellow Springs competitions, and has held artist-in-residence positions at The Tanglewood Music Center, Stony Brook University and The University of Virginia.   With the Guild Trio he performed throughout the United States and Canada as well as in Norway, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal, France and Australia. He has appeared as guest artist with the American Chamber Players, and the New Zealand String Quartet, and currently tours as cellist of the European-based Atma Trio. Whitehouse was recently a featured soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra under Keith Lockhart, and has recorded for the Centaur, CRI, and Innova labels.
