Counselor Worker Applicants

Counselor Workers (CWs) are responsible for the supervision of minors, campus upkeep, and assisting in day-to-day camp management. CW positions include cabin, librarian, breakfast set-up, and driving CWs. CWs are enthusiastic about chamber music and Apple Hill’s mission, and enjoy helping out.

Eligibility: CWs are over the age of 18 and have participated in an Apple Hill session previously.

Compensation: In exchange for their work, CWs receive a full scholarship to cover room, board, and tuition for two coached groups. Travel expenses are not covered.

To Apply: A complete CW application includes an online application form (please use the same form as other participants), a $80 application fee ($25 for applications received by December 16, 2024), and new placement recordings. Please make a note in the comments section of the application indicating your interest in a CW position.

Session Dates for CWs: CWs need to be at Apple Hill for the full duration of the dates listed below.

Session I: Monday, June 9-Wednesday, June 25
Session II: Monday, June 23-Wednesday, July 9
Session III: Monday, July 7-Wednesday, July 23
Session IV: Monday, July 21-Wednesday, August 6
Session V: Monday, August 4-Thursday, August 21

Camp Director Applicants

Camp Directors (CDs) are responsible for day-to-day camp management, leading and organizing activities, managing CWs, campus upkeep, and the supervision of minors. CDs are enthusiastic about chamber music and Apple Hill’s mission.

Eligibility: CDs are over age 21 and have at least two summers’ experience as a CW at Apple Hill.

Compensation: In exchange for their work, CDs receive a full scholarship for room, board, and tuition for one coached group, plus a paid stipend. Travel expenses are not covered.

To Apply: A complete CD application includes an online application form (please use the same form as other participants), an $80 application fee ($25 for applications received by December 16, 2024), and new placement recordings. Please make a note in the comments section of the application indicating your interest in a CD position.

Teaching Assistant (TA) Applicants

TAs assist other students in learning their individual parts. TAs will report to the Session Music Director (MD).

Eligibility: TAs are returning participants over the age of 21 who are experienced performers and music teachers.

Compensation: In exchange for their work, TAs receive a full scholarship to cover room, board, and tuition for two coached groups. Travel expenses are not covered.

To Apply: A complete TA application includes an online application form (please use the same form as other participants), an $80 application fee ($25 for applicants applying before December 18, 2023), and a new placement recording.  Please make a note in the comments section of the application indicating your interest in a TA position.

Application Deadline: February 3, 2025.

Session Dates for TAs: TAs need to be at Apple Hill for the full duration of the dates listed below. TAs arrive the Thursday before the session begins and leave the final Sunday after the student concerts are complete.
Session I: Thursday, June 12-Sunday, June 22
Session II: Thursday, June 26-Sunday, July 6
Session III: Thursday, July 10-Sunday, July 20
Session IV: Thursday, July 24-Sunday, August 3
Session V: Thursday, August 7-Sunday, August 17
