Dear friends, donors, and alumni,
It was a spectacular summer at Apple Hill, with over 250 participants ages 13-87 joining us for five chamber music workshop sessions! Even in such a difficult year for our country and the world, our enrollment increased, and many of you shared that a place like Apple Hill, where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to be fully themselves, is more valuable to you than ever before.
What I loved most about Apple Hill was the sense of community—the way music, friendship, and personal growth were so naturally intertwined. Every day felt full of purpose, whether I was rehearsing, learning in a master class, or simply sharing a meal with friends.

Something special that distinguishes Apple Hill is our commitment to making it possible for all students to attend, regardless of economic circumstance—
This year, over 75% of our applicants requested financial support and Apple Hill awarded $330,000 in tuition assistance. We’re proud to be an organization built on inclusivity, and ensuring that cost is not a barrier for Apple Hill workshop attendance is what allows us to welcome such a diverse, vibrant, intergenerational group of musicians every summer. We’ve also committed to holding our tuition rates and application fees flat in 2026 despite rising expenses.
That’s where you come in. We rely on you—friends, donors, and alumni—to help Apple Hill raise the tuition assistance funds that we channel directly to our students. Just as our workshop participants support and uplift one another in Apple Hill’s concert barn each summer, your donations lift up those who require financial support to attend. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re asking you to consider the profound impact that your annual or sustaining gift can have on the lives of students of all ages; and to humbly ask if you can increase your gift for all those who dream of attending.
Every year, no matter what happened while I was away, Apple Hill makes me fall in love with making music again.
