Charitable Giving, What’s Possible?

Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music will host Charitable Giving, What’s Possible? a free, no obligation educational event, on Friday, Oct 2 from 6-7 p.m. Attendees may opt to attend virtually on Zoom or in-person. All in-person attendees are invited to attend a reception at 5:30 p.m. featuring refreshments, seasonal treats and a complimentary wine tasting in Apple Hill’s Hoffman Auditorium, 410 Apple Hill Road, Nelson, NH.

The event features Doug Thompson, Senior Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors, long-time friend and Financial Advisor to Apple Hill Board Vice President Peter Roos. Thompson will provide an overview of year-end charitable giving opportunities, as well as potential solutions for those who are considering the tax impact of Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), real estate sales or transfers, inheritances and more.

Additional topics include Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), living gifts, bequests, wills, gifts of securities, tax advantaged gifts and more. The event includes a Q&A for attendees and Thompson welcomes your questions in advance.

About our Presenter

Doug Thompson, Senior Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors, is a 30-year New Hampshire resident, living in Peterborough, that specializes in estate planning with an aim of making the giving process easier through holistic financial planning and investment advice. Doug is proud to be an Apple Hill donor and concert attendee.
