Thank you to the generous donors and friends who make it possible for Apple Hill to live its mission of social change through music.
Here are some of the ways we invite you to consider supporting Apple Hill.
Annual Appeal. Twice a year, we reach out and ask donors to support our annual operations budget. Each year the budget is directed to the essential expenses that keep Apple Hill vital: cabin renovations; scholarships for summer participants; summer workshop operations; summer faculty stipends; support for the year-round resident ensemble, the Apple Hill String Quartet; maintenance of our 100 acre campus. Gifts accepted all year. Click here to make a donation and click here to read this year’s letter.
Apple Hill for the Ages. At Apple Hill we believe in inclusion, support, and artistic excellence. As a contributor, you help us sustain these values day after day. Our dream is that Apple Hill will be able to continue its mission for generations to come. We hope you feel the same way. Help us make this dream a reality!
Many Apple Hill supporters choose to make estate or planned gifts through their will, retirement plan, or insurance policy. Others choose to make a gift now through IRAs or gifts of appreciated stock. Let us know so that we may recognize you for your thoughtfulness! If you are one of these thoughtful supporters who have already named Apple Hill in your will or trust please contact Lenny Matczynski at email@example.com so that we may add you to our legacy society, Apple Hill for the Ages.
For more information, Lenny would be happy to answer any questions you have about making a planned or estate gift. Please send him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Playing for Peace Society. The innovative outreach program Playing for Peace, founded in 1988, is central to the mission of Apple Hill. Membership in the Society, at $1,000 per year, supports this initiative and specifically funds: Quartet travel and chamber music workshops around the world to areas where there is a history of conflict; travel and chamber music workshops in many cities in the U.S.; partnerships with music programs and institutions around the world that complement our mission of social change through music; matching scholarship programs with partner organizations. Gifts accepted all year. Click here to make a donation.
Tuition Assistance. Apple Hill’s diverse community, from many different cultural, geographic, and economic backgrounds and of all ages and playing abilities, is made possible through our tuition assistance program. A full scholarship for one participant for one session is $1800; a Playing for Peace scholarship for one participant from the US is $3,000; a Playing for Peace scholarship for an international student is $6,000. Our partner organizations match scholarships, making your gift go even further. Click here to make a donation.
Concert underwriting. For ten Tuesday evenings during the summer, Apple Hill presents concerts featuring faculty and the Young Artist Fellowship ensembles. Underwriting these concerts, at $3,000 per concert, allows corporate and individual donors to focus their giving on live performance in our beautiful concert barn. Click here to make a donation.
New works. Apple Hill is deeply committed to the performance of new works. This includes performance of world premieres of works commissioned by Apple Hill (either alone or in collaboration with other institutions), in addition to performing works by composers representing the rich multicultural repertoire of countries visited through Playing for Peace. Contact Lenny Matczynski at email@example.com to learn more.
